Kaskade
Kaskade has set the standard for production in the dance world. Featured here is a retrospective testament of his remixing and production capabilities. Long before remixing the likes of Nelly Furtado, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake, Kaskade helped to shape the sound of underground house music today by remixing some of today’s rising stars in underground house. Spanning over six years, The Om Remixes highlights his years as one of house music’s fastest up and coming talented remixers.
From remixes for Billboard Top Dance Artist, Colette and Mark Farina, under the radar / slept on remixes for the likes of Rithma, Naked Music NYC, J-Boogie’s Dubtronic Science and more, The Om Remixes showcases his early talent for taking original and unfamiliar pieces, and turning out hits.
Om Records opened it’s doors in 1998 but it wasn’t until they acquired Kaskade in 2000 that they became a recognized label. Kaskade became their “go to” artist and remixer for the next four years. Now with the release of “The Om Remixes – Kaskade”, Om Records has once again turned to their golden boy to try and save their sinking label. Unfortunately, Kaskades best work was done post Om Records, but here you will hear how he started building his production chops and began to refine his style. The best tracks are the “Cali Spaces”, “Rainfall” and “What Will She Do For Love”.
