Ceramic Feat Aisling Stephenson - Broken Dreams
-UUDIGI004-WEB-2008-XTC

Broken Dreams is a deep organic broken beat workout featuring Aisling Stephenson on vocals.

Ceramic aka DJ Magic has a long and deep running history in the UK dance music scene. He started out as a jungle and drum 'n' bass DJ playing clubs including Desire, Thunder & Joy, Wonderland and Paradise Club and on radio stations Don FM, Flex FM and then Underground FM (the first total d'n'b radio station). Having got into production in 1993, his first release 'Parametrix' was in 1997 on a Renegade Hardware imprint Quantum Mechanics. Ceramic later went on to run the studio and engineer for Renegade. After losing faith in the drum & bass scene in the late 90's Ceramic discovered broken beat on a trip to London club Co-Op and never looked back. He is a former member of the Broadcite collective where he was a producer, DJ, engineer and radio show host. Other recent productions include the smash 'Feel The Rush' featuring Colonel Red on the Co-Op label.

On the remix we have Souled aka Ben Tidy and Cookie. They started their musical journey in 2001 with a weekly show on Ministry of Sound Radio where they were the youngest DJs on the station and now have the longest running show on the station. They moved into production and in 2006 and their first release 'Touch' caught the eye of Broadcite Records head honcho Troy who signed it for the second 2nd installment of his 'Unplugged' series. They followed 'Touch' in January 2008 with What reason do I have to go back and Waiting which have already received heavy support from the likes of Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 1), Patrick Forge (Kiss 100), Domu (1xtra, Co-op) Afronaught (Bugz, Co-op).

Their remix takes the track in deep soulful percussive territory, essential for all followers of Osunlade and the like

This release has recieved plays and support from Domu (BBC 1Xtra), Patrick Forge (Kiss FM), Jonny Miller, Simon Harrison (Basic Soul) and Kev Beadle (Mind Fluid) amongst others.
